Sloane’s unconventional childhood was spent traveling to nearly every continent in the world. These experiences influenced a lifelong fascination with language and dialects, which helped lead her to a career as a voiceover artist and actor. In the past couple of decades, Sloane has voiced commercial spots, live events across the US, has subbed for leads in interstitials with Cartoon Network Latin America on Ben Ten, Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Bill and Mandy’s Grim Adventures, The Kids Next Door and others. She has worked alongside Tyler Perry to provide off screen voice work on The Have and the Have Nots. She voiced Ms. Peck (a long-beaked music teacher) in the Netflix original animated movie, The New Adventures of Max. In 2018, Sloane was honored to be one of the Voices of God for the Society of Voiceover Arts and Sciences expo "That's Voiceover!" Sloane's voice has traveled nationally to provide live announcements for major conventions. She's had the pleasure of voicing 9 separate characters in three episodes of a Bento Box animated pilot series called Pandas alongside voiceover legends John DiMaggio, Pamela Adlon, and Kari Wahlgren. One of the coolest experiences for Sloane was working with director Lazlow Jones on Red Dead Redemption Two (2018 release).
Be on the lookout for Sloane in the endearing iconic instant classic, Are You There God It's Me Margaret. Sloane played a British nanny in Season two of First Wives Club on BET. Sloane recurs as the southern Missouri waitress in Ozark (Seasons 2 and 3). If you're in to MTV and zany comedies, back in April 2019, How High Two premiered showing a totally different character then Sloane has ever played before. A stoner clown who is bored with her day job as a bouncy house operator, who goes on a heist to help her pot dealer spread unity weed. Yes it sounds crazy. It's a totally different departure from playing a forensic doctor alongside Al Pacino, Karl Urban and Brittany Snow in the feature film Hangman (Amazon 2018).
Sloane's known for her sarcastic humor and really gets to have fun with some improv in the feature film, Speech and Debate (2017 on Netflix). In Survivor’s Remorse (Starz Ep: 201 2015), Sloane's scene opposite Jesse Usher (The Boyz), touched on how a stereotypical minivan mom wants to be hip, but is just annoying. Such a fun shoot and great to work with Mike O'Malley. Sometimes you get the call that you booked a job while on vacation off your tape alone and no callback. Those are rare and exciting and just that very thing happened as the stars aligned for Dead Silent (Discovery ID Network 2019). It's a pleasure to really dig in and show the depth of human despair, as a storyteller and we don't get to do that often.
Sloane enjoys every aspect of storytelling an has also produced a micro-budget, southern-themed sketch comedy series on YouTube called Bless Yer Heart TV. On camera, Sloane enjoys playing strong female characters that show a depth of vulnerability and optimistic hope despite their circumstances. In animation, she loves portraying fun and zany characters. Sloane resides in the suburbs of Atlanta with her writer/director husband Scott Warren, creative twin boys, and two furry four-legged pups.
